Kendo is a Finnish dance duo founded in 2007. Kendo comprises of female emcee
Yanar and producer Jaakko �JS16� Salovaara. Yanar is in charge of writing the
lyrics and performing the vocals and Jaakko produces and composes the songs.
Fusing dance beats with rap, Kendi knows no musical boundaries. �Kendo�s
original sound is a reflection of its two members and their distinct
personalities and musical influences.�

Yanar has previously published solo material, been a part of several hip hop
collectives and been a founding member of Femcees Finland, a collective formed
to promote Finnish female emcees. Jaakko Salovaara is a highly esteemed, award
-winning producer who has been behind such colossal hit songs as Darude�s
Sandstorm and Bomfunk MC�s �Freestyler�. Salovaara is also a world-renowned DJ
and artist.
